Hannah is a great little road tripper! We returned from NC late last night after a great visit with my parents. It's so fun to see them interact with Hannah and I can't wait until we see them again when we go back for the metric bike tour and the Fabulous Fourth of July celebration in good ole Columbus. My most favorite holiday!

As kinda the last hurrah before I go back to work, there was lots of relaxing and taking advantage of watching cable. My mom, Joseph, Hannah and I went hiking at DuPont Forest one lovely afternoon. Our goal was to hike to Bridal Veil Falls, which was perhaps a little too ambitious on our behalf...we hiked 45 minutes downhill and walked right into the cranky baby hour of 5 o'clock. Yes, even perfect little Hannah gets a little crabby in the evenings. Although I can't blame her...the poor kid was plastered against a sweaty, 98 degree heater and being circled by a pesky insect. Eh, seemed like a good idea at the time. But...we made it back up the hill and Joseph found a creative use for the Ergo's infant insert after Hannah doesn't need it anymore.

Now that's a face of a not-so-happy hiker.

And in his spare time, Joseph is ready to open a chicken coop construction company. My mom recently adopted three baby chicks: Little Gerri, Lucy, and Patty. Up until this past weekend, the gals had posh accommodations in the dining room and are now enjoying their new digs in the Eggcelent Poultry Palace.
