Step 1: Let's go to the beach! A casual glance at the weather. "Oh!" is Joseph's reaction, but it's okay, it probably won't rain.
| Step 2: Pack as much stuff as you possibly can. It's only going to be a three hour trip, but make sure you have enough for at least a weekend at the beach. |
| See that dark sky in the back? |
Step 3: Mock people as they flee the beach for a "passing shower". This is when I stopped taking pictures, as the shower turned into a monsoon.
Step 4: Hideout in a small shade tent while everyone and everything gets soaking wet. The weaker members of the family (me and August), retreat to the car during the light rain phase of the storm. The fun-loving crew stuck around and played (once it stopped thundering).
Step 5: Ahh, it clears! Return to the beach for family fun. Share one slightly damp towel, dress in almost dry clothes, and head home for a shower (the best part of beach day, in my opinion).
But Hannah had fun and we're looking forward to another beach day soon. Hopefully with more sun.
